Kitty Tolson Carroll. Is a licensed master
and eagle class falconer involved in the art of falconry since 1974. She
also gives lectures to the general public about falconry and birds of
prey. The lectures feature a video or slide presentation of the hawks
and falcons native to North America. She can also bring live birds
native to North America to an audience to view and photograph . Ms.
Carroll provides demonstrates with live birds in their natural
environment and natural habits, which may be perceived by some as
offensive or evil. Ms Carroll's lectures feature several formats: One is
in the modern-day context where she discusses birds of prey and
conservation efforts by falconers to bring the Peregrine falcon and
other endangered birds species back from near extinction. The another is
a presentation in a historical context, where Ms Carroll dresses in
historical clothing from the renaissance age and discusses the
importance of falconry and birds of prey in our history and language. An
additional format is a display of live birds at a trade show, corporate
gathering, or grand opening where Ms. Carroll field questions from
attendees about the birds, conservation, and the environment. Ms Carroll
has lectured at schools, day care centers, senior groups, outdoor
groups, corporate meetings and conventions, to people of all ages
interested in learning more about these graceful and beautiful birds of
prey.
